FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Fiosity mean?

Fiosity is a name composed of initials. “Fi” comes from “Fisiotherapia” (Physiotherapy in Spanish), “os” from “Osteopathy” and “ity” sounds more international, because I attend Spanish and foreign clients.

What's the difference between Physiotherapy and Osteopathy?

Physiotherapy is a science of health dedicated to the rehabilitation. Their treatment consists of using natural remedies such as heat, cold, ultrasound, radiofrequency, electromagnetic waves, therapeutic exercises and manual therapy. Osteopathy is a specialization of physiotherapy in the area of manual therapy.

How are the sessions?

The first session covers health issues and physical examinations, apart from the manual therapy. That’s why it lasts 90min. The next treatments take 60min. If it’s necessary, manual therapy will be combined with some medical devices or changed by therapeutic exercises. For minor injuries I offer short sessions of 30min.

How much do the sessions cost?

The first session costs 50€ with a duration of 90 min. The following appointments cost 40€ and last 60 min. In exceptional cases short session of 30 min are made, this costs 25€.

How many sessions will be necessary?

Depending to the case. Normally, between 3-5 sessions will be needed for an acute injury, or at least less than 10 sessions. For health problems that have been developing for months or years, there are usually more than 10 sessions. It also depends on how the body responds to therapy. There are people who respond very well and fast, and others need more time.

Should I wear any special clothes?

No, you can come with the clothes you want. It is advisable to wear comfortable clothing, which allows you to do all the movements, when exercises are planned.

Can I pay by card?

Yes, you can pay in cash or by card, whichever you prefer.

I have health insurance, can I use it?

Yes, if your health insurance accepts private physiotherapy sessions and returns a percentage to the client. In this case, after the last session, I will give you an invoice with all dates, treatments, durations and prices.

When are the opening hours?

The clinic is open all year from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00. The clinic has closed at the weekend.

Where is the clinic?

The clinic is located in Torrox Park (Málaga). It’s located between Torrox Costa and Torrox Pueblo. There are some references that are helpful. Once in Torrox, there is a roundabout. Follow the sign “Camping El Pino”, which leads to a street on the right with slope up. Up there will be another roundabout and follow the sign “Restaurante La Roima”. That restaurant is located in a corner of a shopping center. You have to turn that corner to the right or follow the sign “Minimarket Carmen”. The clinic is on the same street as restaurant La Roima and supermarket Inma, but at the end of the street. There is space to park.
