Frequently Asked Questions
What does Fiosity mean?

Fiosity is a name comprised of ”Fi” which comes from ”Fisioterapia” (Physiotherapy in English), ”os” from ”Osthepathy” and ”ity” is so that the name sounds more international, as my clients are not only spanish.

What's the difference between Physiotherapy and Osteopathy?

Physiotherapy is a health discipline dedicated to rehabilitation, using natural means such as heat, cold, ultrasound, radiofrequency, electromagnetic waves, therapeutic exercises and manual therapy. Osteopathy is a physiotherapy specialization in the field of manual therapy.

How are the sessions?

The first session includes health questions and physical examination, that’s why it lasts 90min. The treatments last 60min. and they’re mainly manual therapies. No machines are used. Depending on each situation, manual therapy will be changed by therapeutic exercises. For minor injuries short sessions of 30min are offered.

What is the cost of a session?

The first session has a cost of 50€ and has a duration of 90min. The following sessions are 40€ and last 60min. For specific situations we can do short sessions that last 30 min and have a cost of 25€.

How many sessions are necessary?

It depends on the situation. Normally, for an acute injury, between 3-5 sessions are sufficient, or no more than 10 sessions. But for injuries that have been going for months or years, it’s usually more than 10 sessions. It also depends a lot on how the body responds to therapy. There are people who respond very well and fast, and others take longer.

Do I have to take special clothes?

No. You can come with the clothes you want. It’s advisable to wear comfortable clothes, which allows you to do all the movements.

Can I pay by card?

Yes, we accept cash and card.

I have health insurance, can I use it?

Yes, if your health insurance accepts private physiotherapy sessions and returns a percentage to the client. In these cases, after finishing the sessions, I submit an invoice with all appointments made, with dates, treatments and prices.

What is the schedule?

The clinic is open all year from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 20:00. We’re closed on weekends.

Where are we?

The clinic is located in Torrox Park. It’s situated between Torrox Costa and Torrox Pueblo. Here are a few references that are helpful, for example follow the “Camping El Pino” sign, which leads to a street on the right with a hill that goes up. After there will be another roundabout and you have to follow the “Restaurante La Roima” sign. That restaurant is on a corner of a shopping center, you have to turn that corner to the right or follow the sign “Supermarket Inma”. The clinic is on the same street as restaurant La Roima and supermarket Inma, but at the end of the street. There’s room to park there.
